Registration & Eligibility
- All bidders must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
- R & T Coin & Precious Metals reserves the right to approve, deny, suspend, or revoke bidding privileges at any time and for any lawful reason.
- By registering to bid, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
Bidder Responsibility
- By placing a bid, the bidder enters into a legally binding agreement to purchase the item if they are the successful high bidder.
- All bids are final and legally binding. Bids may not be altered, reduced, withdrawn, cancelled, or retracted after submission.
- Bidders are responsible for reviewing all descriptions, photographs, terms, and conditions prior to placing a bid.
- It is the bidder’s responsibility to monitor the auction and ensure that all bids are placed intentionally.
Fair Bidding Policy
R & T Coin & Precious Metals is committed to maintaining fair and ethical auctions.
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Shill bidding
- Bid manipulation
- Collusion between bidders
- Artificially influencing the bidding process
- Fraudulent bidding activity of any kind
The Auctioneer reserves the right to immediately suspend or permanently revoke bidding privileges, cancel bids or sales, report fraudulent activity to the appropriate authorities, and pursue all legal remedies available.
Disputes
In the event of a bidding dispute, clerical error, internet interruption, software malfunction, or technical issue, the decision of the Auctioneer shall be final.
Errors & Omissions
While every effort is made to accurately describe all lots, R & T Coin & Precious Metals shall not be responsible for typographical errors, photography errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in descriptions.
The Auctioneer reserves the right to correct errors, modify descriptions, withdraw lots, or cancel any sale resulting from an error or omission.
Lot Removal & Modification
R & T Coin & Precious Metals reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withdraw, postpone, combine, divide, or modify any lot prior to or during an auction without prior notice.
The Auctioneer also reserves the right to correct lot descriptions, photographs, catalog information, bidding increments, reserve prices, or other information at any time before the close of bidding.
Buyer’s Premium
A 15% Buyer’s Premium will be added to the final hammer price of all winning bids.
Taxes
Buyers are responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. Sales tax will be collected where required by law unless the buyer provides a valid tax-exempt or resale certificate accepted by R & T Coin & Precious Metals prior to invoicing.
Payment & Buyer Default
- Payment is due within three (3) calendar days of the close of the auction.
- Failure to remit payment within the required time constitutes a default by the buyer.
- Any invoice paid after the three-day payment period will incur a $25 Late Retrieval Fee. This fee covers the cost of retrieving, processing, and preparing items that have already been returned to the consignor or storage.
- Failure to pay may result in cancellation of the sale, suspension of bidding privileges, and/or relisting of the items at the sole discretion of R & T Coin & Precious Metals.
Failure to remit payment within the required time shall constitute buyer default.
- Cancellation of the sale
- Forfeiture of bidding privileges
- Relisting of the purchased lot
- Collection efforts
- Recovery of any damages permitted by law
Shipping Policy
Standard Shipping
Eligible auction items are shipped throughout the United States unless otherwise stated in the individual lot description.
Eligible auction items are shipped for a flat rate of $15.00 per invoice on orders totaling less than $100.00.
Orders with an eligible merchandise total of $100.00 or more qualify for FREE standard shipping within the continental United States.
When practical, multiple eligible auction lots purchased by the same buyer in the same auction will be combined into a single shipment at no additional shipping charge.
This standard shipping policy applies to most coins, currency, bullion, jewelry, and other standard-size auction items. It does not apply to estate items, antiques, furniture, artwork, oversized items, or any lot specifically identified in its description as having different shipping terms. Those items are subject to the shipping policies outlined below.
Estate Items, Large Items & Oversized Items
The flat-rate and free shipping program does not apply to:
- Estate items
- Antiques
- Furniture
- Artwork
- Large or oversized items
- Items requiring special packaging or handling
These items will be charged:
- Actual shipping cost
- Plus a $5 Packaging & Handling Fee
Shipping charges are determined after packing and will be invoiced to the buyer.
Shipping Notes
- Multiple eligible items will be combined into one shipment whenever practical.
- Shipping charges will be included on the buyer’s invoice unless otherwise stated.
- Shipping policies may vary for certain specialty items. Please review the individual lot description for any item-specific shipping requirements or restrictions.
- Certain items may be restricted from shipping due to size, weight, carrier limitations, hazardous materials regulations, or other applicable laws.
Inspection of Property
Bidders are encouraged to carefully review all photographs, descriptions, measurements, and available information prior to placing a bid.
Additional information or photographs may be requested before the auction closes; however, R & T Coin & Precious Metals cannot guarantee that all requests can be accommodated.
Failure to inspect an item shall not constitute grounds for cancellation of a sale or refusal of payment.
Authenticity & Grading
Such actions shall not invalidate the auction or create liability to any bidder or other party.when deemed necessary.
Unless specifically stated in the lot description:
- Grading opinions are the opinion of the Auctioneer and are not guarantees.
- Raw (ungraded) coins are sold based upon the Auctioneer’s opinion only.
- No guarantee is made that any raw coin will receive a particular grade from PCGS, NGC, CACG, ANACS, or any other third-party grading service.
- Buyers are encouraged to inspect photographs and request additional information before bidding.
All Sales are Final
All property is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with no guarantees or warranties, expressed or implied.
It is the bidder’s responsibility to inspect photographs, descriptions, and request additional information before placing a bid.
All sales are final. Refunds, returns, or exchanges will not be accepted except where required by applicable law. Unauthorized or fraudulent chargebacks may be disputed to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Title & Risk of Loss
Title to purchased property transfers to the buyer only after payment has been received in full.
Risk of loss transfers to the buyer upon delivery of the purchased item to the shipping carrier or upon pickup by the buyer or the buyer’s designated representative.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, R & T Coin & Precious Metals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from participation in any auction, the purchase of any lot, shipping delays, or the use of this website.
The Auctioneer’s maximum liability, if any, shall not exceed the purchase price actually paid for the item in dispute.
Force Majeure
R & T Coin & Precious Metals shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or failure to perform resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, severe weather, natural disasters, power outages, internet interruptions, governmental actions, labor disputes, or other unforeseen events.
Auctioneer’s Discretion
R & T Coin & Precious Metals reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- Refuse or revoke bidding privileges at any time.
- Reject any bid.
- Resolve bidding disputes.
- Cancel, suspend, extend, or reopen bidding when necessary to preserve the fairness and integrity of the auction.
- Cancel any sale resulting from fraud, technical error, non-payment, or other circumstances beyond the Auctioneer’s control.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms & Conditions or any auction conducted by R & T Coin & Precious Metals shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in the State of Florida, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Internet & Technical Issues
R & T Coin & Precious Metals is not responsible for interruptions in internet service, software malfunctions, browser issues, power outages, or other technical problems that may affect a bidder’s ability to place bids. The Auctioneer reserves the right to extend, suspend, postpone, or reopen bidding if a technical issue materially affects the conduct of an auction.
Privacy
Bidder information will be used solely for the administration of auctions, processing of purchases, shipping, customer service, and communications related to R & T Coin & Precious Metals.
Personal information will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes except as required to process payments, complete shipping, comply with applicable law, or as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms & Conditions
R & T Coin & Precious Metals reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
The Terms & Conditions published on this website at the time a bid is placed shall govern that transaction.
